Carlos Peniche & Peniche Law Firm
Carlos Peniche is bilingual, has over 60 jury verdicts, numerous bench trials and is Houston’s most senior double board-certified Hispanic (exclusive) litigation attorney regularly representing the business. He has been double board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law since 1991.
After a long-term practice with a commercial litigation firm, Carlos formed the Peniche Law Firm PC in 2018 to continue his practice representing both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury cases, insurance claims, debt litigation, commercial litigation and other civil matters. Carlos is a founding member of CICTEX, Cámara Internacional de Comercio – Texas, a Houston-based Hispanic chamber of commerce and has been active with various Hispanic civic organizations such as the Hispanic Bar Association, the Mexican American Bar Association and the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC).
Carlos is especially proud of his family background, being the son of Edward (Eduardo) Peniche and Lois Dean Peniche. His father was born in Progreso, Mexico, in the Yucatan and served with the 101st Airborne Division in World War II as a Mexican national. He served in the Normandy Invasion, Operation Market Garden (of a “Bridge too Far” fame) and the Battle of the Bulge.
As a military child, Carlos lived all over the world, having been born in Taiwan, going to the first grade in Vietnam and lived in the Panama Canal Zone for the 6th through 8th grades. Carlos served in the US Army J.A.G. Corps (military lawyers) at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, for three years before coming to Houston in 1984.
